Support Rootstrikers

There are many ways to contribute to Rootstrikers, a project of the 501(c)(3) organization Fund for the Republic. 100% of donations to Rootstrikers go directly to enabling our work.

Become a Supporter

Our fight against corruption is reliant on small-dollar contributions from concerned citizens like yourself. No amount is too small to show your support.

Give Monthly

Your monthly contribution means we will have the resources we need to educate others about the corrupting influence of money in politics. If you sign up to make a monthly gift, you’ll know when you receive monthly news of our activities that your contribution directly enables their ongoing success.

Join our Founders Circle

Donors who make gifts of more than $1000 between January 1 and December 31 in any calendar year are honored as members of Rootstrikers Founders Circle. In addition to joining the ranks of an uncommon group of people dedicated to leading the fight against the corrupting influence of money in politics, Founders Circle members receive these exclusive benefits:

  • A special welcome from our founder, Lawrence Lessig.
  • Invitations to exclusive events and conversations with Rootstrikers leadership.
  • Your name listed in our annual report.

Consider In-Kind-Gifts

Monetary donations are not the only ways to support Rootstrikers. Gifts of services—like web, design, or marketing—as well as materials can directly enable the growth of our projects. Last year, a supporter saw one of our videos and decided we needed a better microphone—so he sent us one. We welcome this kind of thoughtful giving, and would be happy to talk more with you about your plans for giving.

Join Forces with your Employer

Many companies will match employees' donations. We encourage you to contact the human resources representative at your place of work to find out if your company has a matching gift program.
